Lambeau Field Award / A "Full Contact" Assignment

Contract Award

April 2, 2001 -- It was December 31, 1967 and the men in the Crump household were huddled around the black and white television set.  This included the now twelve year old Randy Crump, (owner and Prism Technical Senior Associate) who was celebrating his New Years Eve birthday that day.  If you're a football fan, this date means something to you too.  If you're a Green Bay football fan, you have this date tattooed somewhere on your person, if not in your mind.  This was the date of the famed "ice bowl".  The Packers against the Cowboys for the championship.  It just doesn't get any better than this.

They say it was 13 below zero with a wind chill of minus 46.  (It was about 70 degrees in the Crump living room).  Only 13 seconds and one yard stood between the Packers and a victory over the Cowboys.  Somehow you knew it could get done.  With a quarterback sneak, the Packers pull it out with a 21-17 win.

It's with that winning attitude that Prism announces with pride the award of the contract to manage the Construction Outreach and Coordination of the Minority and Women Participation program during the  Lambeau Field Redevelopment project.  While it is not expected to be easy, Prism and its' client is committed to meeting and exceeding the goals established for the project.  Anyone interested in working on the project, providing trade labor or construction services, is encouraged to contact Prism immediately.  The project has a Project Labor Agreement with all area Unions.

With an initial and intense focus on Brown County residents and companies, Prism is excited about bringing the same kind of win-win attitude to the Lambeau Field Redevelopment project as they did during the construction of Miller Park.

Prism will serve as a Consultant to the Turner Construction Company.  While the project is already underway, a ceremonial ground breaking is scheduled for May  2001.  To visit the Turner Construction Company web site, click on the Link below:

Construction Reporting soon to be via the internet

March 5, 2001 -- Prism Technical Management & Marketing Services, the Construction Coordinator for Minority and Women participation at both Miller Park and the new Lynde & Harry Bradley School of Technology and Trade recently announced the launching of new web site.

While the site is currently under construction, when done, it will allow contractors to update workforce and contracting data on line.  It will also allow Target firms to view reported payment information so project monitoring will become less costly and faster.

High tech - high touch

Construction Workforce information in an instant

January 1998 -- Prism Technical Management & Marketing Services, AKA Prism Technical - in an effort to strengthen public support and credibility to workforce claims, instituted a high tech workforce counting and monitoring tool at Miller Park.

The system, called an "electronic brassing system" was deployed using a modified building access system designed for building security. Rather than having the on site workforce employees use their badges to gain entrance to an enclosed building, they would simply swipe in at the construction site gate.

Workforce demographic data was then collected and reports could be generated to show how many workers were on site and how many of these were minorities and/or women. Specific contractor data could also be determined, to show how many workers from any registered firm was present during any given day throughout the entire project.

As a result, there were no community concerns over the thousands of workforce hours which were reported for Miller Park, as community leaders were assured of detailed results, which could be double check by the project's Independent Monitors.
