Prism is proud to have played a role in the development of programs to
include minorities, women, residents and students on these important education
projects to enhance education in the City of Milwaukee.
Three very innovative concepts were developed in conjunction with these
projects:
 | Student Employment - Prism and our sub-consultants created programs to
engage Junior and Senior High School students through employment with
construction firms and professional service providers. Some students have been hired permanently, upon
graduation.
|
 | Student Engagement - Prism and our sub-consultants created programs to
engage elementary grade school students in the fields of: Engineering,
Architecture and Construction. Service providers held career
fairs, demonstrations for parents and kids, and even created a video to better
inform children about the trades.
|
 | COIN (Communities in Need) - Based upon the clients' described needs, Prism
created the COIN program; designed to provide job opportunities to its most
needy constituents -- City of Milwaukee residents who find themselves on the
lower rung of the economic ladder. The program has been reviewed by the
City of Milwaukee Attorney for compatibility with the US Constitution.
