RISE (Regional Internships in Science & Engineering) is a career and professional development program, providing meaningful work experience and professional relationships with local construction and engineering firms, consultants and planners to prepare students for success in the Greater Milwaukee infrastructure job market. The goal of the program is to provide internship opportunities for students and employers leading to a professional relationship upon graduation. RISE is sponsored by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) and conceived, developed and managed by Prism Technical Management & Marketing Services (Prism).
At the end of each summer, MMSD and Prism honor the students and companies who have demonstrated commitment to excellence through participation in the RISE program.
SET UP
2018 RISE End of Year Celebration took place on August 1st at The Brown Bottle. Prism team had name tags lined out, food set up, and a photo backdrop all ready to go for celebrating the achievements of our RISE students!
The venue has a rustic theme: filled with antler chandeliers, warm lighting, wooden doors and a intricate ceiling.
NETWORKING
RISE interns networking with employers from some of Milwaukee's leading engineering companies. We appreciate the employers for their commitment in Milwaukee's future leaders.
SPEECHES
Our speakers gave some really insightful & inspiring speeches to the crowd. Following the speeches, a presentation video was shown to highlight the RISE students' internship journey and the tours they did at Fiserv Forum & Jones Island.
