Celebrating 16 Years of RISE Success! 🎉

The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) and Prism are proud to mark the 16th anniversary of the Regional Internships in Science & Engineering (RISE) program. This milestone highlights the achievements of our students and employers, and we appreciate the commitment of everyone involved in making this program successful.

Our 2025 End of Year Celebration included notable attendees such as Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson, MMSD Supplier Development Specialist Robert Williams, and RISE alumni. A huge THANK YOU to Jacobs and Schlitz Park for allowing us to use their amazing space for this event, and to Kellie Katering for the fantastic food.

We are thankful for 16 years of valuable partnerships and the development of strong pathways and emerging talent.

Our interns had the chance to speak with some of our RISE employers and past alumni about their experiences working in the industry in Wisconsin.

Recap: Site tours, Workshops & Commissioner's Meeting

During development building, our interns got to experience some industry experiences. They got to venture into location sites, curtesy of MMSD to learn more about Milwaukee's water infrastructure. On another week, the interns were invited to attend MMSD's Commissioner's Meeting in person.
