Prism Technical and Grandesco Solutions, Inc. partnered with the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, the Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Public Schools, Milwaukee School of Engineering, Mortenson Construction and Populous to host ENGINEER THE FUTURE (ETF)…Building A Greater Milwaukee. Over 150 MPS high school students built small replicas of the Milwaukee Bucks arena currently under construction. The students learned about different facets of engineering and the construction trades, during a morning program session which included a 3-D Fly-through presentation, and encouraging remarks from MPS President Mark Sain, Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. The capacity-filled event took place at North Division High School on Thursday, November 3, 2016. North Division is an MPS school located at 1011 W. Center Street, Milwaukee, WI.

BUILDING A GREATER MILWAUKEE
Students convened in several rooms to build replicas of the Milwaukee Bucks arena with the help of MSOE student volunteers. Upon completion students were able to ask questions and most importantly take their own personal replica home to share with their families. Students also heard from a dynamic panel speaking about their exciting careers, what it took to get where they are today and, sharing advice and encouragement with the students. The panel concluded with many great questions from those in the audience.
During the panel presentation students watched “Makin It”, a video discussing construction trade opportunities. Watch it here.
